The UV7A4, UV7A4-1-CEX, and UV7R4 are highly sensitive ultraviolet (UV) flame scanners designed for monitoring frequently cycling gas or oil flames. These non-self-testing flame scanners integrate seamlessly with Fireye’s MBSERIES multi-burner controllers, SBSERIES single-burner controllers, and MBPF-100S and MB-600PF flame sensing modules, providing reliable flame detection for a wide range of industrial applications.
UV7A4 Flame Sensing Scanner
The UV7A4 flame scanner is ideal for applications where the flame frequently cycles on and off. Its highly sensitive UV detection ensures accurate flame monitoring even under challenging conditions. The Fireye flame protection system checks the scanner for shorts or runaways at the beginning and end of each flame cycle. The flame scanner is UL listed and FM approved for safety and reliability. It includes a 122 cm (4 ft) shielded flexible cable and a 1/2-inch F.N.P.T. insulated nylon connector suitable for high-temperature environments.
UV7R4 Flame Detection Scanner
The UV7R4 scanner is a 90° right-angle UV flame scanner designed for monitoring gas or oil flames in systems with limited space or specific mounting angle requirements. Similar to the UV7A4, it offers high sensitivity for frequently cycling flames.
This scanner also features Fireye’s flame protection feature, which checks the scanner for short circuits or “runaway” conditions during each flame cycle. The UV7R4 is UL listed and FM approved, features 72-inch (1830 mm) unshielded leads, and includes reverse connection protection for enhanced safety.

The UV7A4-1-CEX is a highly sensitive ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for monitoring gas or oil flames that cycle frequently. The amplifier processes the signal to energize or maintain the flame relay, ensuring safe and continuous system operation.
