Description
The Fireye UV1A6 Ultra Violet Scanner is a specialized flame – monitoring device for industrial use. It is manufactured by Fireye, a leading company in flame safeguard controls and burner management systems.

Fireye UV1A6 Ultra-Violet Scanner Flame Monitor
This scanner is designed to detect the ultraviolet radiation emitted by flames. It is suitable for monitoring flames from standard fuel gases, some waste gases, and light oil fuels like No. 2 oil. It features a 1/2″ NPT connector, which enables easy integration into existing systems, and comes with a 6 – foot shielded cable, allowing for flexible installation.
The core component of the UV1A6 is a non – replaceable quartz tube filled with a gas. When there is no flame, the gas acts as an insulator between the two internal electrodes. However, during combustion, the ultraviolet radiation from the flame ionizes the gas, generating current pulses between the electrodes. These pulses are transmitted as flame signals to the control amplifier, which processes them to activate or maintain the flame relay, thus ensuring the safe operation of combustion systems.
The UV1A6 operates at a wavelength within the UV – C range, specifically 190 – 270 nm. It is a non – self – checking scanner and is compatible with systems such as M – series II, MicroM™, FlameWorx, MB – 2, and D – series controls, as well as Fireye Flame – Monitor™, BurnerLogix, and Nexus System. It has an operating temperature range of – 40 to 200°F and a maximum relative humidity of 85% non – condensing, with dimensions of 1.06 in OD x 2.53 in L.
Besides, it complies with relevant standards such as NEMA 4X and is cULus listed and FM approved.
